Actor Colin Fox has passed away at the age of 86. The Canadian showman featured in a string of movies and television programmes.

Beloved Canadian actor Colin Fox passed away unexpectedly at the age of 86 on April 5, 2025. The news was shared by Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home.
Paying tribute to the star of the small and big screen, they wrote: "The world has dimmed a little with the passing of Colin Fox, a beloved Canadian actor whose talent graced both stage and screen and whose spirit radiated warmth and generosity to all who knew him. Colin, remembered by many as the kindest man with the biggest heart."
Describing his talent, it went on: "Whether portraying a memorable character on stage or screen or simply navigating everyday life, Colin’s vastness of character shone through. He was a thoughtful and attentive individual, always considering the feelings and well-being of others. He gave freely of his time, his resources, and most importantly, his unwavering kindness."

Discussing his family, the tribute read: "Colin's memory will forever be cherished by his loving spouse, Susan, and his daughter, Sarah (Mark). Colin was beloved by Susan's daughter Shannon and her children Cameron, Evan and Erica. Colin was predeceased by his former wife, Carol Bermingham-Fox (2015). While his physical presence will be deeply missed, the legacy of Colin Fox – a legacy built on kindness, generosity, and a deep appreciation for the lighter side of life – will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him."
People took to X to share their loss and memories. One user wrote: "Really sad to hear about Colin Fox's passing. His performance as The Shopkeeper is one of the best parts of The Haunted Mask. His monologue about the Unloved gave the character some surprisingly complex layers." Another person added: "RIP Colin Fox, the voice of Maximus I.Q. from Atomic Betty, such a great villain. At least he's reunited with Minimus' original voice actor (Len Carlson) in heaven."

Colin starred in a huge number of films, but it was his TV appearances that really cemented his acting skills. Between 1986 and 1987, he featured in two episodes of dramas, thrillers, and mystery series, Alfred Hitchcock Presents. He also appeared in Law & Order and the children's ghost series Goosebumps by R.L Stine. He also voiced the character of Dragster of Doom on Beetlejuice: The Animated Series, which ran from 1989-91.
